“Be bold, not nervous.” I recently heard this in a movie, and it got me thinking…
How many times have I started something new and felt nervous instead of bold?
I love acronyms so I created one for BOLD.
BE:
Brave-have the courage to face the uncomfortable.
Open minded – to opportunity, failure, wins.
Loving- towards yourself and others involved.
Disciplined – go ALL in…no half-ass effort.
Ready to run into a challenge, not away from it?
7 Ways to be BOLD =
- Invest your time. The more effort you put in, the less uncomfortable you’ll feel over time.
- Believe in your abilities to do something. Believe in YOU!
- Stay Positive, everything is better with a positive mindset.
- Choose a role model. It’s most likely their success was built on multiple failures. Know their story.
- Listen to your favorite songs/playlist. Sing out loud, dance in your kitchen!
- Stop comparing. We’re all unique, don’t compare your weaknesses to someone’s strengths. You are enough. Write this down, “I am enough.” And read it often.
- Know your fear, confront it, own it, SQUASH it!
